我本人與主耶穌默契、深信天下本無不淨之物。惟人如視任何物為不淨、則斯物之於斯人也、誠為不淨矣。

豈可為食物之細故、而破壞天主之妙工。凡物皆淨、固矣；然若以爾之食、為厲之階、凶莫甚焉！

凡依法之事、未必有益於己，依法之事、未必有益於人也。

禁止嫁娶、戒絕某種食物；夫食物乃天主所造也、亦在具有信德、而身體真道者、感恩受之而已矣。蓋天主所造皆善、固無有一物可以暴棄也。惟受之者當飲水思源耳。

然既有疑而仍食焉、是不啻自納於罪、以其所行不本乎信心；而凡事之不本乎信心者、莫非罪也。

『苟非犯罪、萬事皆可為之、』然亦有緩急輕重之分。『苟非犯罪、萬物皆可享之、』然亦不可令外物累吾之心、而使心為形役也。食為腹、腹為食；惟腹與食皆非永久之物、轉瞬天主即將使之朽污無遺矣。至於吾人之身、豈為縱淫恣慾而存乎？身為主也、主為身也、如是而已。

耶穌謂之曰：『爾法利塞人、惟滌盃盤外表、而爾之內心、實藏垢納污。無知之人乎、夫彼創造外物者、非即創造內心者乎？第能心存慈善、施人以德、則物之於爾、無不潔矣。

若夫出於口者、發於心而汙人；

是故飲食舉止、皆須以天主之光榮為前提。

復有聲曰：『天主潔之、毋以為俗。』

然非人人具此真知灼見；頗有數輩、至今尚以偶像有靈潛存於意識中、若知所食者為祭餘之物、則其脆弱之良心為所浼矣。

凡購於市上者、食之；為良心平安計、勿問原委。

矧以基督無玷之身、憑聖神而自獻於天主之寶血、不更應滌吾人之良心於一切致死之行、俾得昭事永生之天主乎？

吾人之心、既已灑脫罪累矣；吾人之身、既已洗濯於潔水之中矣；則吾人尚可不以一片赤誠、沛然不疑、而親近天主乎？

喪心病狂、天理泯滅、甚且以宗教為貿利之途。

故凡輕率冒昧、妄食聖餅、妄領聖爵者、則褻瀆聖體與聖血矣。務必正心誠意、深自反省、然後可食斯餅、而領斯爵。若冒昧食之、冒昧飲之、而不思此即主之聖體者、是以飲食而自取罪戾也。
