耶穌基督之僕保羅、奉召為使徒、特簡以宣上帝福音、

若有傳異教、不從我主耶穌基督之正言、不依敬虔之教者、

蓋其神能錫我一切關乎維生虔敬之事、乃因識夫以榮以德召我者也、

惟愚魯弗學之辯論、則拒之、蓋知此乃生爭競也、

蓋上帝濟救萬人之恩已顯、教我儕棄絕不虔、與世俗之慾、而以貞正、公義、敬虔、度生於今世、

諸物既將如是消滅、則爾之為人、當如何清潔虔敬哉、

違逆者、宜以謙和規正之、庶上帝賜以悛心、俾識真理、

勿聽虛誕之詞、及無窮譜系、此第滋生辯論、非因信而為上帝之役事、夫警戒之大旨乃愛、由於清潔之心、懿美之良、無偽之信、

主所愛之兄弟、我當為爾恆謝上帝、以其自始選爾得救、聖之以神、真理是信也、緣此、上帝曾以我儕之福音召爾、俾得我主耶穌基督之榮、

大哉敬虔之奧、無不以為然也、彼顯於形軀、徵於心靈、見於天使、宣於列邦、信於天下、躋於光榮焉、

彼欲萬人得救、洞悉真理、

俾其心受慰、以愛相聯、穎悟充實而致富有、克知上帝之奧秘、即基督也、
