So then, brothers, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh,

弟兄們，可見我們並不是欠肉體的債，隨著肉體而活。

弟兄們，那麼我們便是欠債的了，卻不是欠肉體的債、去順着肉體活的。

弟兄們，由此可見，我們都是有責任的，但不是對肉體有責任去順著肉體而活；

兄弟乎、我儕非負債於形軀、致依形軀而生、

兄弟乎、我儕非為欲所役者、豈甘從欲、

如是、兄弟乎、我儕非負肉體之債、致我從肉體而行、

故兄弟應知吾人既不為肉身之役、自無順從情慾之責。

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation— but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.

Brothers and sisters, we have a duty. Our duty is not to live under the power of sin.

So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors— not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life.For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection.For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin’s dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,since a person who has died is freed from sin’s claims.Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him,because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over Him.For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God.So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its desires.And do not offer any parts of it to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under law but under grace.What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the pagans choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

Lord, I am indeed Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your female servant. You have loosened my bonds.
