然吾又見一法、寓吾肢體之中、與吾心之法、恆相對敵、而囚吾於肢體之罪孽法中。

but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.

But I see another law working in me. It fights against the law of my mind. It makes me a prisoner of the law of sin. That law controls me.

but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.

but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. (niv)

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? (niv)

because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. (niv)

Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. (niv)

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever- increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. (niv)

Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me. (niv)

So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. (niv)

Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. (niv)

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. (niv)

For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. (niv)

In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. (niv)

We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. (niv)
