我们知道，我们的旧人和他同钉十字架，使罪身灭绝，叫我们不再作罪的奴隶，

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

现在活着的不再是我，乃是基督在我里面活着；并且我如今在肉身活着，是因信上帝的儿子而活；他是爱我，为我舍己。

但我绝不以别的夸口，只夸我们主耶稣基督的十字架；因这十字架，就我而论，世界已经钉在十字架上；就世界而论，我已经钉在十字架上。

凡属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体与肉体的邪情私欲同钉在十字架上了。

你们要脱去从前的行为，脱去旧我；这旧我是因私欲的迷惑而渐渐败坏的。

耶稣回答他们：“我实实在在地告诉你们，所有犯罪的人就是罪的奴隶。奴隶不能永远住在家里；儿子才永远住在家里。所以，上帝的儿子若使你们自由，你们就真正自由了。”

所以，要治死你们在地上的肢体；就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪婪—贪婪就是拜偶像。

不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去旧人和旧人的行为，穿上了新人，这新人照着造他的主的形像在知识上不断地更新。

你们若顺从肉体活着，必定会死；若靠着圣灵把身体的恶行处死，就必存活。

但如今，你们既从罪里得了释放，作了上帝的奴仆，就结出果子，以至于成圣，那结局就是永生。

我真苦啊！谁能救我脱离这必死的身体呢？感谢上帝，靠着我们的主耶稣基督就能！这样看来，一方面，我内心顺服上帝的律，另一方面，肉体却顺服罪的律了。

你们也在他里面受了不是人手所行的割礼，而是使你们脱去肉体情欲的基督的割礼。你们既受洗与他一同埋葬，也就在此礼上，因信那使他从死人中复活的上帝的作为跟他一同复活。

律法既因肉体软弱而无能为力，上帝就差遣自己的儿子成为罪身的样子，为了对付罪，在肉体中定了罪，为要使律法要求的义，实现在我们这不随从肉体、只随从圣灵去行的人身上。

耶和华—我们的上帝啊，在你以外曾有别的主管辖我们，但我们惟独称扬你的名。

所以，不要让罪在你们必死的身上掌权，使你们顺从身体的私欲。

乃缦说：“你若不肯，请把两匹骡子能驮的土赐给仆人，仆人必不再把燔祭或祭物献给别神，只献给耶和华。
