我们知道，我们的旧人已经与基督同钉十字架，使罪身丧失机能，使我们不再作罪的奴仆，

因为知道我们的旧人和他同钉十字架，使罪身灭绝，叫我们不再作罪的奴仆；

蓋知我儕舊日之我、舊日之我原文作本體之舊人與之同釘十字架、以滅罪身、使我儕不復為罪所役、

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

我已经与基督同钉十字架；现在活着的，不再是我，而是基督活在我里面；如今在肉身中活着的我，是因信神的儿子而活的；他爱我，为我舍己。

至于我，我绝不以别的夸口，只夸我们主耶稣基督的十字架。藉着这十字架，在我来说，世界已经钉在十字架上了；就世界来说，我也已经钉在十字架上了。

属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体和邪情私欲都钉在十字架上了。

就要除去你们那照着从前生活方式而活的旧人。这旧人是随着迷惑人的私欲渐渐败坏的。

耶稣说：“我实实在在告诉你们，凡犯罪的都是罪的奴隶。奴隶不能永远住在家里，唯有儿子才可以永远住在家里。所以，神的儿子若使你们自由，你们就真的得自由了。

所以要治死你们在地上的肢体，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。

不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去了旧人和旧人的行为，穿上了新人。这新人照着他的创造者的形象渐渐更新，能够充分认识主。

如果随着肉体而活，你们必定死；如果靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，你们就必活着。

现在你们既然从罪里得了释放，作了神的奴仆，就有成圣的果子，那结局就是永生。

我这个人真是苦啊！谁能救我脱离这使我死亡的身体呢？感谢神，藉着我们的主耶稣基督就能脱离了。可见，一方面我自己心里服事神的律，另一方面我的肉体却服事罪的律。

你们也在他里面受了不是由人手所行的割礼，而是受了基督的割礼，就是除掉你们的罪身。你们在洗礼中已经与他一同埋葬，也在洗礼中，因信那使基督从死人中复活的神所运行的动力，与他一同复活了。

律法是因肉体而软弱无力，所作不到的，神作到了：他差遣自己的儿子成为罪身的样式，为了除掉罪，就在肉体中把罪判决了，使律法所要求的义，可以在我们这些不随从肉体而随从圣灵去行的人身上实现出来。

耶和华我们的神啊！在你以外，曾有别的主管辖我们，但只有你，我们要承认你的名。

所以，不要容罪在你们必死的肉身上掌权，使你们顺从肉身的私欲，

乃缦说：“你若是不肯收取，就请你赐你仆人两头驴子可以驮的泥土，因为你的仆人不再献燔祭或别的祭给别的神，只献给耶和华。
