因此，罪怎样从一个人进入世界并带来了死亡，死亡也怎样临到了全人类，因为全人类都犯了罪。

这就如罪是从一人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，于是死就临到众人，因为众人都犯了罪。

为此，正如罪是从一人进入世界，死又从罪而来，于是死就临到所有的人，因为人人都犯了罪。

是以罪由一人入世、因罪而有死、於是死延於眾、以皆獲罪也、

且以一人、在世有罪、因罪而死、於是人皆有罪、人皆有死、

是以自從罪由一人入世、死因罪而有、則死臨於眾人、以眾人犯罪、

夫罪緣一人之身、而侵入斯世；罪之所至、死則隨之；人皆有罪、亦皆有死。

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

既然死亡的到来是借着一人，复活的到来也是借着一人。因为正如在亚当里众人都死了，同样，在基督里众人也都要复活。

因为一人的悖逆，众人成为罪人；照样，因为一人的顺服，众人将被称为义人。

因为罪的代价就是死亡，而上帝借着主基督耶稣赐下的礼物则是永生。

只是不可吃那棵分别善恶树的果子，因为你若吃了，当天必死。”

因为世人都犯了罪，亏欠上帝的荣耀，

私欲怀了胎，便生出罪，罪一旦长成，便带来死亡。

你必汗流满面，才有饭吃，一直到你归回尘土。因为你是尘土造的，也必归回尘土。”

我生来就是个罪人，在母腹成胎的时候就有罪。

罪怎样掌权带来死亡，恩典也照样借着义掌权，为要借着我们主耶稣基督带来永生。

女人见那棵树上的果子可口，赏心悦目，可以使人有智慧，就摘下来吃了。她也把果子给跟她在一起的丈夫，他也吃了。

之后，死亡和阴间也被扔进火湖里，这火湖就是第二次的死。名字没有记在生命册上的都要被扔进火湖里。

因为所有的生命都属于我，父和子都属于我。谁犯罪，谁死亡。

因为我们在许多方面难免有过失。如果谁在言语上没有过失，他就是纯全的人，也能在各方面保持自制。

事实上，从亚当到摩西的时代，死亡一直辖制着人类，甚至连那些不与亚当犯同样罪的人也不能幸免。亚当是将要来的那位的预表。然而，上帝的洪恩远超过亚当的过犯。若因一人的过犯，众人都要死亡，那么上帝的恩典，也就是通过耶稣基督一人所赐的恩典，岂不要更丰富地临到众人吗？再者，上帝的恩赐不同于一人犯罪的后果。一人犯罪便带来审判和定罪，恩赐却使众人罪恶得赦、被称为义人。如果因一人的过犯，死亡就借着那人做了王，那么接受上帝洪恩又得到祂所赐之义的人，岂不更要借着耶稣基督一人在生命中做王吗？

耶和华上帝说：“看啊，那人已经与我们相似，能分辨善恶。现在，恐怕他会伸手去摘生命树的果子吃，那样他就会永远活着。”因此，耶和华上帝就把亚当赶出伊甸园，让他去开垦土地——他的本源。上帝赶走了亚当以后，就派遣基路伯天使驻守在伊甸园东边，又用一把旋转的火剑守护在通往生命树的路上。
