What does Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

What do we find in Scripture? It says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham’s faith, and so his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6)

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.

Is this blessing only for the circumcised, then? Or is it also for the uncircumcised? For we say, Faith was credited to Abraham for righteousness.

just like Abraham who believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness?You know, then, that those who have faith, these are Abraham’s sons.Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and proclaimed the gospel ahead of time to Abraham, saying, All the nations will be blessed through you.

But to the one who does not work, but believes on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited for righteousness.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

It was credited to him as righteousness throughout all generations to come.

God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah— how he pleads with God against Israel?

Therefore, it was credited to him for righteousness.Now it was credited to him was not written for Abraham alone,but also for us. It will be credited to us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,

For the Scripture tells Pharaoh, I raised you up for this reason so that I may display my power in you and that my name may be proclaimed in the whole earth.

Go to God’s instruction and testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.

Or do you think it’s without reason that the Scripture says: The spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely?

Haven’t you read this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

Above all, you know this: No prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation,because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
