And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

其信甚篤、年近百歲、不顧己身已衰、亦不顧撒拉之胎已絕孕、

故雖明知己之將近百歲、精力枯竭、且明知灑蕾之久已絕孕；然信心未因此而稍衰、

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead— since he was about a hundred years old— and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Abraham did not become weak in his faith. He accepted the fact that he was past the time when he could have children. At that time Abraham was about 100 years old. He also realized that Sarah was too old to have children.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead( since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.

And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead— and so was Sarah’s womb.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about a hundred years old) and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall[ a child] be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead,[ so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of[ them], and embraced[ them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.And truly, if they had been mindful of that[ country] from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.But now they desire a better[ country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten[ son],Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:Accounting that God[ was] able to raise[ him] up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things[ are] possible to him that believeth.And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven,[ shall he] not much more[ clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth[ his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

[ It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor[ any thing] whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Now Abraham and Sarah[ were] old[ and] well stricken in age;[ and] it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust[ it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
