The lion had not eaten the body or torn the donkey.And the prophet took up the body of the man of God and laid it on the donkey and brought it back to the city to mourn and to bury him.And he laid the body in his own grave. And they mourned over him, saying,“ Alas, my brother!”And after he had buried him, he said to his sons,“ When I die, bury me in the grave in which the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones.For the saying that he called out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel and against all the houses of the high places that are in the cities of Samaria shall surely come to pass.”

And Hazael became king in his place.

Far be it from your servants to do such a thing!Behold, the money that we found in the mouths of our sacks we brought back to you from the land of Canaan. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord’s house?Whichever of your servants is found with it shall die, and we also will be my lord’s servants.”He said,“ Let it be as you say: he who is found with it shall be my servant, and the rest of you shall be innocent.”Then each man quickly lowered his sack to the ground, and each man opened his sack.And he searched, beginning with the eldest and ending with the youngest. And the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.Then they tore their clothes, and every man loaded his donkey, and they returned to the city.When Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, he was still there. They fell before him to the ground.
