unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.

You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve.

For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

“ Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.

Don’t be misled— you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

He repays people according to their deeds. He treats people as they deserve.

For their hearts plot violence, and their words always stir up trouble.

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned!But the wicked are doomed, for they will get exactly what they deserve.

The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.

“ Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign Lord. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.

So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

You may believe there’s nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who don’t feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right.

I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’“ Then these righteous ones will reply,‘ Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’“ And the King will say,‘ I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’“ Then the King will turn to those on the left and say,‘ Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink.I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’“ Then they will reply,‘ Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’“ And he will answer,‘ I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’“ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

Don’t excuse yourself by saying,“ Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
