Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

兄弟乎、我求爾凡啟分爭、置機檻、異乎爾所學之道者、宜慎而避之、

我勸兄弟、慎諸背教、釁隙陷人於罪者、宜避之、

兄弟乎、爾中有人起釁隙、置妨礙、以反爾所學之道、我勸爾慎視慎視或作謹防之、且避之、

務懇我兄弟謹防一般離間人心、引人陷罪、背叛爾向所受之教義者；望避之若浼也。

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

I am warning you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who try to keep you from staying together. They want to trip you up. They teach you things opposite to what you have learned. Stay away from them.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them,

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause dissensions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them,

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them!

These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.

If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn’t consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, insulting, evil suspicions,constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.

Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.

Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning,

holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.

Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ.

As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

If any man doesn’t obey our word in this letter, note that man, that you have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.Don’t count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.

This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage,

Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.

I wrote to you in my letter to have no company with sexual sinners;yet not at all meaning with the sexual sinners of this world, or with the covetous and extortionists, or with idolaters; for then you would have to leave the world.But as it is, I wrote to you not to associate with anyone who is called a brother who is a sexual sinner, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an extortionist. Don’t even eat with such a person.

“ Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!

for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?

but there isn’t another“ good news.” Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any“ good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any“ good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

Beware of the dogs; beware of the evil workers; beware of the false circumcision.For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.Now I mean this, that each one of you says,“ I follow Paul,”“ I follow Apollos,”“ I follow Cephas,” and,“ I follow Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.

For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.

Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying,‘ You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers,“ Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers.When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly and the apostles and the elders, and they reported everything that God had done with them.But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying,“ It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

He said to the disciples,“ It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
