so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.

Then I will come to you with joy just as God has planned. We will be renewed by being together.

so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.

and that, by God’s will, I may come to you with joy and be refreshed together with you.

so that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and relax in your company.

He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land. (niv)

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear. But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. (niv)

Instead, you ought to say,“ If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” (niv)

The brothers and sisters there had heard that we were coming, and they traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. At the sight of these people Paul thanked God and was encouraged.When we got to Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself, with a soldier to guard him. (niv)

But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you.Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith. For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him.He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ— with all boldness and without hindrance! (niv)

Like a snow- cooled drink at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to the one who sends him; he refreshes the spirit of his master. (niv)

But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to visit you,I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to see you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while. (niv)
