但那疑惑的人如果吃了，就被定罪了，因為不是本於信；而一切不是本於信的，就是罪。

但如今，你們認識了神——不過更要說，被神所認識——怎麼能再回到那無能、無用的原則裡去呢？你們願意再重新做它們的奴僕嗎？你們竟嚴守著某些日子、月份、節期、年份！

我知道，並且在主耶穌裡深信：沒有一樣東西本身是不潔淨的。只是，如果有人認為什麼是不潔淨的，對他來說，那就是不潔淨的。

這樣，那軟弱的人，就是基督為他而死的那弟兄，就會因你的知識被毀了。

然而，不是所有的人都有這知識。有些人因習慣了偶像，至今還以為所吃的是祭過偶像的食物。他們的良心因為軟弱，就被玷汙了。
