The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.

The person who eats everything must not look down on the one who does not. And the one who doesn’t eat everything must not judge the person who does. That’s because God has accepted them.

Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.

Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

One who eats must not look down on one who does not eat, and one who does not eat must not judge one who does, because God has accepted him.

耶稣向那些自以为义而藐视别人的人讲了这比喻：

可是你，你为什么评断弟兄呢？你又为什么轻看弟兄呢？因我们都要站在上帝的审判台前。

因此，基督为他死的那软弱弟兄，也就因你的知识沉沦了。你们这样得罪弟兄，伤了他们软弱的良心，就是得罪基督。所以，食物若使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永远不吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

所以，我们不可再彼此评断，宁可决意不给弟兄放置障碍或绊脚石。

你若因食物使弟兄忧愁，就不是按着爱心行事。基督已经为他死，你不可因你的食物使他败坏。

“你们不要评断别人，免得你们被审判。因为你们怎样评断别人，也必怎样被审判；你们用什么量器量给人，也必用什么量器量给你们。

“你们要小心，不可轻看这些小子中的一个；我告诉你们，他们的天使在天上，常见我天父的面。

我说的良心不是你自己的，而是他的。我的自由为什么被别人的良心评断呢？我若谢恩而吃，为什么因我谢恩的物被人毁谤呢？

所以，不要让任何人在饮食上，或节期、初一、安息日等事上评断你们。这些原是未来的事的影子，真体却是属基督的。

无论是吃肉是喝酒，是什么别的事，使弟兄跌倒，一概不做，才是善的。

彼得开口说：“我真的看出上帝是不偏待人的。

那时，约翰的门徒来见耶稣，说：“我们和法利赛人常常禁食，你的门徒却不禁食，这是为什么呢？”

谁藐视这日的事为小呢？他们见所罗巴伯手拿石垂线就欢喜。这七盏灯是耶和华的眼睛，遍察全地。”

彼得还在说这些话的时候，圣灵降在一切听道的人身上。

约翰来了，既不吃也不喝，人们就说他是被鬼附的；人子来了，也吃也喝，他们又说这人贪食好酒，是税吏和罪人的朋友。而智慧是由它的果子来证实的。”

知道人心的上帝也为他们作了见证，赐圣灵给他们，正如给我们一样；又藉着信洁净了他们的心，他们和我们之间并没有什么分别。
