若使兄弟因食而憂、則所行不由於愛也、基督既為之死、爾毋以所食敗之、

若爾以所食、使兄弟憂、則所為不仁、基督且為之死、爾勿以所食敗之、

若爾因所食、使兄弟憂、則所行不循愛人之道、基督為之死、爾勿以所食而敗之、

倘爾以食物細故、而貽兄弟以無謂之疑慮、則爾不復以仁愛之道而行矣。夫基督不惜為彼而死、爾乃以爾之食物致彼於死、毋乃不可乎。

If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died.

Your brother or sister may be upset by what you eat. If they are, you are no longer acting as though you love them. So don’t destroy them by what you eat. Remember that Christ died for them.

For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died.

And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love if you eat it. Don’t let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died.

For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.

For if because of food your brother or sister is hurt, you are no longer walking in accordance with love. Do not destroy with your choice of food that person for whom Christ died.

Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.

For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.

For if your brother is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy that one Christ died for by what you eat.

But if thy brother be grieved with[ thy] meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

For if your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy by your food someone for whom Christ died.

Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (niv)

then make my joy complete by being like- minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (niv)

So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge.When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. (niv)

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. (niv)

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. (niv)

Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. (niv)
