總要穿上主耶穌基督為軍裝；別為肉體籌謀、去放縱私慾了。

相反，要穿上主耶穌基督；不要為了私慾而在屬肉體的事上做任何安排。

惟主耶穌基督是服、毋為形軀是圖、以縱其慾、

勿圖情欲、以任所嗜、惟主耶穌基督是佩是服、

惟衣被主耶穌基督、爾為身慮、勿致縱慾、

務須服膺吾主耶穌基督、有如衣之被體。毋汲汲以滿足情慾為事也。

Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ as if he were your clothing. Don’t think about how to satisfy sinful desires.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

并且穿上新我；这新我是照着神的形像造的，有从真理来的公义和圣洁。

你们凡受洗归入基督的都披戴基督了：

亲爱的，你们是客旅，是寄居的，我劝你们要禁戒肉体的情欲；这情欲是与灵魂争战的。

我说，你们要顺着圣灵而行，绝不可满足肉体的情欲。因为肉体的情欲和圣灵相争，圣灵和肉体相争，这两个彼此敌对，使你们不能做所愿意做的。

穿上了新人，这新人照着造他的主的形像在知识上不断地更新。在这事上并不分希腊人和犹太人，受割礼的和未受割礼的，未开化的人、西古提人、为奴的、自主的；惟独基督是一切，又在一切之内。所以，你们既是神的选民，圣洁、蒙爱的人，要穿上怜悯、恩慈、谦虚、温柔和忍耐。

凡属基督耶稣的人，是已经把肉体与肉体的邪情私欲同钉在十字架上了。

弟兄们，这样看来，我们不是欠肉体的债去顺从肉体而活。你们若顺从肉体活着，必定会死；若靠着圣灵把身体的恶行处死，就必存活。

所以，要治死你们在地上的肢体；就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪婪—贪婪就是拜偶像。因这些事，神的愤怒必临到那些悖逆的人。当你们在这些事中活着的时候，你们的行为也曾是这样的。但现在你们要弃绝这一切的事，就是恼恨、愤怒、恶毒、毁谤和口中污秽的言语。

不要爱世界和世界上的东西，若有人爱世界，爱父的心就不在他里面了。因为凡世界上的东西，好比肉体的情欲、眼目的情欲和今生的骄傲，都不是从父来的，而是从世界来的。这世界和世上的情欲都要消逝，惟独那遵行神旨意的人永远常存。

我穿上公义，它遮蔽我；我的公平如外袍和冠冕。
