through whom we also have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we celebrate in hope of the glory of God.And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that at the revelation of His glory you may also rejoice and be overjoyed.

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and endurance inherit the promises.

Therefore be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.

And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.

For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person endures grief when suffering unjustly.For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.

Rejoice always,pray without ceasing,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us,

strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all perseverance and patience; joyously

All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;

Epaphras, who is one of your own, a bond servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings, always striving earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings,

But since we are of the day, let’s be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.

But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

As an example, brothers and sisters, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ.

In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior.

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He reached down to me and heard my cry.

to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life;

The hope of the righteous is gladness, But the expectation of the wicked perishes.

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

As a result, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure.

but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.

and in your knowledge, self control, and in your self control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness,

so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.When the man saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him.Then he said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints,and pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

constantly keeping in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

to whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.

And He said to them,“ Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him,‘ Friend, lend me three loaves,because a friend of mine has come to me from a journey and I have nothing to serve him’;and from inside he answers and says,‘ Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’I tell you, even if he will not get up and give him anything just because he is his friend, yet because of his shamelessness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.“ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.Now which one of you fathers will his son ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, he will give him a snake?Or he will even ask for an egg, and his father will give him a scorpion?So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

By your endurance you will gain your lives.

But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and virtuous heart, and hold it firmly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

“ The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“ Therefore I wait for Him.”The Lord is good to those who await Him, To the person who seeks Him.It is good that he waits silently For the salvation of the Lord.

You who have shown me many troubles and distresses Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.May You increase my greatness And turn to comfort me.I will also praise You with a harp, And Your truth, my God; I will sing praises to You with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my soul, which You have redeemed.

Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not become discouraged,saying,“ In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect any person.Now there was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying,‘ Give me justice against my opponent.’For a while he was unwilling; but later he said to himself,‘ Even though I do not fear God nor respect any person,yet because this widow is bothering me, I will give her justice; otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.’ ”And the Lord said,“ Listen to what the unrighteous judge* said;now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long for them?I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:“ Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself:‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”Now they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them.But Jesus called for the little ones, saying,“ Allow the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”A ruler questioned Him, saying,“ Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”But Jesus said to him,“ Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.You know the commandments,‘ Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Honor your father and mother.’ ”And he said,“ All these things I have kept since my youth.”Now when Jesus heard this, He said to him,“ One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy.And Jesus looked at him and said,“ How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!”Those who heard Him said,“ And so who can be saved?”But He said,“ The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”Peter said,“ Behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.”And He said to them,“ Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in the age to come, eternal life.”Now He took the twelve aside and said to them,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that have been written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be ridiculed, and abused, and spit upon,and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise.”The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.Now as Jesus was approaching Jericho, a man who was blind was sitting by the road, begging.But when he heard a crowd going by, he began inquiring what this was.They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.And he called out, saying,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He asked him,“ What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said,“ Lord, I want to regain my sight!”And Jesus said to him,“ Regain your sight; your faith has made you well.”And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me.

My God, incline Your ear and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our pleas before You based on any merits of our own, but based on Your great compassion.Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”

You will guide me with Your plan, And afterward receive me to glory.Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth.My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.

So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made to God intensely by the church.

The wicked is thrust down by his own wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies.

In the same way God, desiring even more to demonstrate to the heirs of the promise the fact that His purpose is unchangeable, confirmed it with an oath,so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to the hope set before us.This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil,

Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,

For what is the hope of the godless when he makes an end of life, When God requires his life?Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him?Or will he take pleasure in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times?

As for me, I shall call upon God, And the Lord will save me.Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan, And He will hear my voice.

Even if the fig tree does not blossom, And there is no fruit on the vines, If the yield of the olive fails, And the fields produce no food, Even if the flock disappears from the fold, And there are no cattle in the stalls,Yet I will triumph in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble for me, and it is a safeguard for you.

In return for my love they act as my accusers; But I am in prayer.
