But God said to him,‘ Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’

Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.

And Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, he was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment.

But the Lord of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.And he will become a sanctuary and a stone of offense and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
