並且為你捨生的作證人司提反的血迸流的時候，我本人還站在旁邊贊同着，看守殺掉他之人的衣裳呢！」

可見你們祖宗所作的事、你們既做見證，又贊同着；因為他們殺害了神言人，你們又修造神言人的墳墓。

那麼你這教導別人的，你不教導自己麼？你這宣傳說不可偷竊的，你偷竊麼？你這說不可姦淫的，你姦淫麼？你這憎惡偶像之污染的，你掠劫廟中之物麼？你這指着律法而誇口的，你因違犯律法而侮辱上帝麼？

司提反被殺掉、掃羅也贊同着。就在那一天就起了大逼迫、苦害那在耶路撒冷的教會；使徒以外，眾人都四散在猶太和撒瑪利亞各地區。
