既然人不愿意真正认识神，神就任凭他们存败坏的理性，去做那些不该做的事。

他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存邪僻的心，行那些不合理的事；

他们既然故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们存扭曲的心，做那些不该做的事，

他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存扭曲的心，做那些不该做的事，

既然他们故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们心思败坏，做不当做的事。

他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存着败坏的心，去作那些不正当的事。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存邪僻的心，行那些不合理的事；

他們既然故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們存扭曲的心，做那些不該做的事，

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存扭曲的心，做那些不該做的事，

既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。

他們怎樣在認識上帝選擇了「無上帝」，上帝就怎樣把他們放給不上選的心思，去行不該行的事；

既然人不願意真正認識神，神就任憑他們存敗壞的理性，去做那些不該做的事。

彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、

彼既不以上帝存於中、上帝聽其喪心、行所不當行、

彼既不願存天主於念、天主聽其存邪僻之心、行所不當行者、

若輩既冥頑不靈、心棄天主、則天主亦愛莫能助、於是聽其昧心恣行、

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

They didn’t think it was important to know God. So God let them continue to have evil thoughts. They did things they shouldn’t do.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper,

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.

And even as they did not like to retain God in[ their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

并且使用一切不义的诡计，因为他们不接受那能使他们得救的真理之爱。为此，神就把一种迷惑人的力量送进他们里面，使他们相信虚假之事，好使所有不相信真理而喜悦不义的人，都被定罪。

所以人是已经知道神的，但是却不把他当做神来荣耀他，也不感谢他；相反，他们在思想上变得虚妄，他们无知的心就昏暗了。

他们声称认识神，却在行为上否认他。他们是可憎恶的、悖逆的，在任何美善的工作上都经不起考验。

因此，神任凭他们顺着心中的情欲去做污秽的事，以致彼此玷污自己的身体。

说：“我怎么就恨恶了管教呢？我的心怎么就藐视了责备呢？我没有听老师的话，也没有侧耳听教导我的人；

神要在烈火中报应那些不认识神的人，以及那些不顺从我们主耶稣福音的人；

扬尼和扬布列怎样抵挡摩西，这些人也照样抵挡真理；他们理性败坏，在信仰上经不起考验。

原来属肉体的思想是敌对神的，因为它不服从神的律法，其实也不能服从；并且，属肉体的人无法得到神的喜悦。

正是因为他们恨恶知识，没有选择敬畏耶和华，

对于他们，这世代的神把这些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他们不能洞察基督荣耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。实际上，我们不是传扬自己，而是传扬主耶稣基督，并且为了耶稣的缘故，我们自己做了你们的奴仆；因为那吩咐“要有光从黑暗里照耀出来”的神，已经照耀了我们的心，为要发出神荣耀的知识之光——这光就在耶稣基督的脸上。

你们应当醒悟过来，不继续犯罪；实际上，有些人不认识神。我说这话，是为了使你们羞愧。

“无知的人喜爱无知，讥讽者贪爱讥讽，愚昧人恨恶知识，要到什么时候呢？

你们要察验自己是否在信仰中，要考验自己。难道你们不了解耶稣基督在你们里面吗？除非你们是经不起考验的。但是我希望你们明白，我们不是经不起考验的。我们祈求神，使你们不做任何恶事。这不是要显明我们是经过考验的，而是要你们行美善的事，就算我们可能像是经不起考验的。

要知道，人用不公义抵挡真理，神的震怒就从天上显明在人的一切不敬虔和不公义上。

敬畏耶和华是知识的开端，愚妄人藐视智慧和管教。

愚昧人既然没有心智，为什么手中还拿着银钱要买智慧呢？

拆毁所有为抵挡神的知识而树立起来的高墙；又虏获各样的心意，达到属基督的顺从；

所以，虽然我在基督里大有胆量，可以吩咐你去做合宜的事，

污秽的言行、愚妄的话语、下流的笑话，这些都不合宜；反而倒要说感谢的话。

为此，神任凭他们陷入可耻的情欲，连他们的女人也把天性的功用变为违反天性的；

他们听到死人复活的事，虽然有些人嘲笑他，但有些人却说：“关于此事，我们还要再听你说！”

他们故意忽略这一点：就是从太古的时候，藉着神的话语有了诸天，也有了从水而出、藉水而成的大地；

因为我边走边观察你们所敬拜的，发现一座祭坛上刻着‘献给不认识的神’；那么，我把你们所不认识而敬拜的这一位，现在传讲给你们。
