我在異象中看見那些馬和騎馬的：騎馬的穿着火紅、紫瑪瑙及硫磺色的胸甲；馬的頭好像獅子的頭，有火、有煙、有硫磺從馬的口中噴出來。

每逢角聲一響，牠說：『啊哈！』牠從遠處聞到戰爭的氣息，聽見軍官如雷的吼聲和吶喊。

牠的肉塊緊緊結連，緊貼其身，不能搖動。牠的心結實如石頭，如下面的磨石那樣結實。牠一起來，神明都恐懼，因崩潰而驚慌失措。人用刀劍扎牠，是無用的，槍、標槍、尖槍也一樣。牠以鐵為乾草，以銅為爛木。箭不能使牠逃走，牠看彈石如碎稭。牠當棍棒作碎稭，牠嘲笑短槍的颼颼聲。牠肚腹下面是尖瓦片；牠如釘耙刮過淤泥。

戰士在戰亂中所穿的靴子，以及那滾在血中的衣服，都必當作柴火燃燒。
