The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.

The fifth angel blew his trumpet. Then I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the tunnel leading down into a bottomless pit. The pit was called the Abyss.

And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.

角三鳴、有巨星如炬、自天而隕、江河水泉之被其災者、三分居一。

永生不變；死於一時、而生於永古；掌握死亡及地獄之管籥者。

既啟壑騰煙如洪爐、上蔽日光、穹蒼晦冥；

誰能入淵、以起基督於死中？』

眾魔哀求耶穌、勿投諸不測之淵。

爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。

然吾兒當知季世必有危時、人將逞其私欲、孳孳為利、驕矜自慢輕薄褻瀆、不孝父母、忘恩負義、不虔不敬、天良泯滅、結怨不解、譖人不輟、沉湎無度、兇暴不馴、疾善如讎、叛逆無信、剛愎自用、桀傲成性、不愛天主、惟愛荒逸、外飾虔誠之貌內實麻木不仁。此類之人、務望吾兒避之若浼。

又見一天神手執深壑之管籥、及一大鐵索、自天而降；

群蝗有王、是為無底幽壑之天神；厥名在希伯來文曰亞霸東、希臘文曰亞玻力勇。一禍甫已、二禍方興。角六鳴、忽聞一音來自天主前金壇之四角、

角四鳴、日月星三光皆三分食其一；晝晦光三分、夜亦如之。

主曰：『曩者予親睹沙殫如閃電自天而隕。

二禍方已、三禍不旋踵而至矣。角七鳴、天上眾音並作、相和而言曰：普天之下、率土之濱、咸歸天主、基督是君、千秋萬歲、統於一尊。

見七天神立天主前、各受號角一。

於是彼七天神之執有七角者、乃準備依次而鳴角矣。角初鳴、冰炭和血紛然落地、地成焦土者、三分居一、樹木之被焚者、亦三分居一、草則全燒。角二鳴、有大火如山、投於海、海水變血者三分居一、

望爾等切莫受人之愚也。彼日之來、必先有反教背主之事、又有元惡大憝、淪亡之子、先行顯露、反抗基督、妄自尊大、目中不復有所謂天主或可敬者、彼且坐於天主聖殿、而自炫其為天主焉。曩者予在爾中時、曾以此事相告、爾等豈已忘懷乎？爾等亦知彼在目前、尚有所阻；如屆其時、則面目畢露。蓋其不法之隱圖、已在醞釀、惟尚有為之阻礙者、故其一時未能遽發；一俟阻礙見除、則彼橫行不法者、行將猖獗。而主耶穌乃必以其所發之正氣、予以懲創、且藉己之昭臨、予以殲滅。

於是惑眾之妖魔乃被投入硫火池中、與獸及偽先知朝暮受刑、永世靡已。

所見在吾右手之七星及七金燈、此中有神秘存焉：七星者乃七教會之守護天神、而七金燈者即七教會也。」
