They shouted to the Lord and said,“ O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us?”

他们大声喊着说：“圣洁真实的主宰啊，还要等多久呢？为什么你还不审判地上那些屠杀我们的人，为我们申冤呢？”

他们大声喊叫，说：“圣洁真实的主啊！你不审判住在地上的人，给我们伸流血的冤，要到几时呢？”

他们大声呼喊说：“神圣、真实的主啊！你不施行审判，不为我们的血向住在地上的人讨回公道，还要多久呢？”

大聲喊着說：「聖潔真實的主啊，你不審判住在地上的人，給我們伸流血的冤，要等到幾時呢？」

大聲喊着說：「神聖真實的主宰啊，你不審判住在地上的人，為我們所流的血伸冤，要到幾時呢？」

大聲喊着說：「神聖真實的主宰啊，你不審判住在地上的人，為我們所流的血伸冤，要到幾時呢？」

他們大聲喊著說：「聖潔真實的主宰啊，還要等多久呢？為什麼你還不審判地上那些屠殺我們的人，為我們伸冤呢？」

他們大聲喊叫，說：“聖潔真實的主啊！你不審判住在地上的人，給我們伸流血的冤，要到幾時呢？”

他們大聲喊着說：『聖而真的主宰啊，你不審判、而向住在地上的人伸我們流血的冤、要等到幾時呢？』

他們大聲呼喊說：「神聖、真實的主啊！你不施行審判，不為我們的血向住在地上的人討回公道，還要多久呢？」

大聲呼曰、聖且誠之主宰乎、不鞫宅地之人、伸我流血之冤、至幾何時乎、

大聲呼曰、聖誠之主歟、不問天下億兆、伸我流血之冤、將俟何時乎、

大聲呼曰、聖且誠之主歟、不審判居於地之人、為我儕伸流血之冤、將至何時、

大聲而呼曰：「嗟夫、神聖、真實、至高無上之主、爾審判天下、伸吾儕流血之冤、將待何時？」

They called out in a loud voice,“ How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

They called out in a loud voice.“ How long, Lord and King, holy and true?” they asked.“ How long will you wait to judge those who live on the earth? How long will it be until you pay them back for killing us?”

They cried out with a loud voice,“ O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

They cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, the one who is holy and true, how long until you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

and they cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who live on the earth?”

And they cried with a loud voice, saying,“ How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

They cried out with a loud voice:“ Lord, the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?”

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

They cried out with a loud voice,“ How long, Sovereign Master, holy and true, before you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

They cried with a loud voice, saying,“ How long, Master, the holy and true, until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”

In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels,in flaming fire, bringing judgment on those who don’t know God and on those who refuse to obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus.

And I heard the angel who had authority over all water saying,“ You are just, O Holy One, who is and who always was, because you have sent these judgments.Since they shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, you have given them blood to drink. It is their just reward.”And I heard a voice from the altar, saying,“ Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Philadelphia. This is the message from the one who is holy and true, the one who has the key of David. What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open:

The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of your wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants the prophets, as well as your holy people, and all who fear your name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.”

Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

For those will be days of God’s vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled.

Upon hearing this, the angel of the Lord prayed this prayer:“ O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for seventy years now you have been angry with Jerusalem and the towns of Judah. How long until you again show mercy to them?”

Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes.

For he who avenges murder cares for the helpless. He does not ignore the cries of those who suffer.

“ May the Lord judge between us. Perhaps the Lord will punish you for what you are trying to do to me, but I will never harm you.

“ Indeed, the Lord will give justice to his people, and he will change his mind about his servants, when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.Then he will ask,‘ Where are their gods, the rocks they fled to for refuge?Where now are those gods, who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their offerings? Let those gods arise and help you! Let them provide you with shelter!Look now; I myself am he! There is no other god but me! I am the one who kills and gives life; I am the one who wounds and heals; no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!Now I raise my hand to heaven and declare,“ As surely as I live,when I sharpen my flashing sword and begin to carry out justice, I will take revenge on my enemies and repay those who reject me.I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword will devour flesh— the blood of the slaughtered and the captives, and the heads of the enemy leaders.”’“ Rejoice with him, you heavens, and let all of God’s angels worship him. Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles, and let all the angels be strengthened in him. For he will avenge the blood of his children; he will take revenge against his enemies. He will repay those who hate him and cleanse his people’s land.”

Who is this who comes from Edom, from the city of Bozrah, with his clothing stained red? Who is this in royal robes, marching in his great strength?“ It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation! It is I, the Lord, who has the power to save!”Why are your clothes so red, as if you have been treading out grapes?“ I have been treading the winepress alone; no one was there to help me. In my anger I have trampled my enemies as if they were grapes. In my fury I have trampled my foes. Their blood has stained my clothes.For the time has come for me to avenge my people, to ransom them from their oppressors.I was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So I myself stepped in to save them with my strong arm, and my wrath sustained me.I crushed the nations in my anger and made them stagger and fall to the ground, spilling their blood upon the earth.”

And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.”

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,“ I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.

We no longer see your miraculous signs. All the prophets are gone, and no one can tell us when it will end.How long, O God, will you allow our enemies to insult you? Will you let them dishonor your name forever?

In your streets flowed the blood of the prophets and of God’s holy people and the blood of people slaughtered all over the world.”

Why should pagan nations be allowed to scoff, asking,“ Where is their God?” Show us your vengeance against the nations, for they have spilled the blood of your servants.

The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.Then at last everyone will say,“ There truly is a reward for those who live for God; surely there is a God who judges justly here on earth.”

But the Lord said,“ What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground!

Then Samson prayed to the Lord,“ Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time. With one blow let me pay back the Philistines for the loss of my two eyes.”

You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

How long, O Lord, will you look on and do nothing? Rescue me from their fierce attacks. Protect my life from these lions!

“ Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.

One of them asked the man dressed in linen, who was now standing above the river,“ How long will it be until these shocking events are over?”

He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.

O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?

How long, O Lord? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat?How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast?

Then I heard two holy ones talking to each other. One of them asked,“ How long will the events of this vision last? How long will the rebellion that causes desecration stop the daily sacrifices? How long will the Temple and heaven’s army be trampled on?”
