亟宜反省何由而致墮落、從頭悔改、反爾初服。不然、吾必蒞臨爾處、移奪爾檠、莫謂言之不豫也。

爾固明知主日之臨、突如其來。有如不速之客之夜襲也。

雖然、主日之臨、必突如其來、有若不速之客焉。當時諸天訇然而逝、物質之元素、溶解於烈火之中。大地及所載之萬彙、悉皆焚化。

緣此、爾宜朝乾夕惕；蓋爾不知爾主蒞臨之日也。若家主知盜何時將至、則必儆醒守備、不令穴室。

爾其識之、家主苟知盜之何時來臨、必自戒備、不聽穿窬。爾等亦宜恆自警惕。蓋人子來臨、每在不意之時也。』

我來有如不速之客。人能恆自警惕、守其所服、毋使赤身露體、自彰其醜、斯為有福。

親愛之同道乎、予致書於爾、此已為第二通矣。予之所以一再修書、諄諄不倦者、惟欲激發爾等誠實無妄之心、

惟我兄弟。既不處黑暗之中、屆時當不致襲爾如不速之客。蓋爾皆為光明之子、旦晝之人、非屬於暮夜與黑暗也。故吾人不欲效世人之醉生夢死、常宜昭昭惺惺、淡泊有節。

是故爾等當小心翼翼、朝乾夕惕；其日與時、非爾所知也。

蒂茂德乎、所授於汝之託付、汝其謹守勿失。凡支離忘本之空談、似是而非之詭辯、皆汝所應深惡而痛絕也。

因此、吾人允宜以非常之毅力、恪守所聞、始終不渝。

惟望固執爾之所有、以至吾之重臨。

爾當朝乾夕惕、恆自惺惺、以爾不知其時故。

吾所愛者、吾則責之懲之。尚其激發熱情、悔過自新。

突然駕返、見爾之睡也。

吾已予以充分時間、盼其悔悟；而彼終怙惡不悛、淫蕩如故。識之哉、吾將投之於病榻；與之同流合污者、如不幡悔、亦將痛懲；

務望將予所授聖道之真傳、奉為圭臬；恆以信德愛德、仰體耶穌基督之心；

蓋吾一日寓此塵宅、即一日有予爾激發之天職；

吾臨在即、望爾堅守所有、操之勿失；莫令爾之榮冠被劫於人。
