「主人說，『做得好！你真是個又良善又忠心的奴僕。既然你在小事上忠心，我要把更大的事交給你。進來分享你主人的快樂吧！』

我聽見從寶座中傳來響亮的聲音說：「看啊！上帝的居所設立在人間，祂要與人同住。他們要成為祂的子民，上帝要親自與他們同在，作他們的上帝。上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚，再沒有死亡、憂傷、哭泣和痛苦，因為以前的事都已成過去。」

因此，他們在寶座前，在聖殿中不分晝夜地事奉上帝。坐在寶座上的那位要庇護他們。他們不會再受饑餓和乾渴的折磨，也不會再受太陽和酷熱的煎熬，因為在寶座中央的羔羊要作他們的牧人，引導他們到生命之泉那裡，上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚。」

誰要事奉我，就要跟從我。我在哪裡，事奉我的人也要在哪裡。我父必尊重事奉我的人。

我安排好了以後，必定回來接你們到我那裡。我在哪裡，讓你們也在哪裡。

城內必有人居住，不再遭毀滅的咒詛。耶路撒冷必安享太平。

我要住在他們中間。我要做他們的上帝，他們要做我的子民。

但我因持守公義必見你的面；我醒來見到你就心滿意足了。

錫安的居民啊，高聲歡呼吧！因為住在你們當中的以色列的聖者無比偉大。」

我看見城中沒有聖殿，因為全能的主上帝和羔羊就是聖城的殿。聖城裡不需要太陽和月亮的光照耀，因為有上帝的榮光照耀，羔羊就是聖城的燈。

你把生命之路指示我，你右手有永遠的福樂，我在你面前充滿喜樂。

「王又對左邊的人說，『你們這些被咒詛的人，走開！到專為魔鬼及其使者預備的永遠不滅的火裡去吧！

『凡不遵行這律法的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』

「父啊！我在哪裡，願你賜給我的人也在哪裡，好讓他們看見你賜給我的榮耀，因為在創世以前你已經愛我了。

城的四周共長十公里，從那時起，這城必叫『耶和華的居所』。」

那人說：「我聽見你在園中行走的聲音，就害怕得躲了起來，因為我赤身露體！」耶和華上帝問：「誰說你赤身露體？難道你吃了我吩咐你不可吃的果子嗎？」那人說：「你賜給我作伴的女人摘了那樹上的果子給我，我就吃了。」耶和華上帝對女人說：「你這做的是什麼事？」女人說：「是蛇誘騙我，我才吃的。」
