‘ He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

他要毀滅的最後仇敵就是死亡。

耶和華救贖的民必歸回，歌唱來到錫安；永遠的快樂必歸到他們頭上，他們必得着歡喜快樂，憂傷嘆息盡都逃避。

你的太陽不再落下，月亮也不消失；因為耶和華必作你永遠的光。你悲哀的日子定要結束。

當這會朽壞的變成不朽壞的，這會死的變成不會死的，那時經上所記「死亡已被勝利吞滅了」的話就應驗了。「死亡啊！你得勝的權勢在哪裏？死亡啊！你的毒刺在哪裏？」死亡的毒刺就是罪，罪的權勢就是律法。感謝神，他使我們藉着我們的主耶穌基督得勝。所以，我親愛的弟兄們，你們務要堅固，不可動搖，常常竭力多做主工，因為你們知道，你們在主裏的勞苦不是徒然的。

當因我所造的歡喜快樂，直到永遠；看哪，因為我造耶路撒冷為人所喜，造其中的居民為人所樂。我必因耶路撒冷歡喜，因我的百姓快樂，那裏不再聽見哭泣和哀號的聲音。

我又看見一個新天新地，因為先前的天和先前的地已經過去了，海也不再有了。

那時，少女必歡樂跳舞；年輕的、年老的，都一同歡樂；因為我要使他們的悲哀變為歡喜，並要安慰他們，使他們的愁煩轉為喜樂。

死亡和陰間也被扔進火湖裏，這火湖就是第二次的死。

耶和華救贖的民必歸回，歌唱來到錫安；永恆的喜樂必歸到他們頭上。他們必得着歡喜快樂，憂傷嘆息盡都逃避。

以後不再有任何詛咒。在城裏將有神和羔羊的寶座。他的僕人都要事奉他，

天地要廢去，我的話卻絕不廢去。」

住在錫安、居於耶路撒冷的百姓啊，你必不再哭泣。主必因你哀求的聲音施恩給你，他聽見的時候就必應允你。

為錫安悲哀的人，賜華冠代替灰燼，喜樂的油代替悲哀，讚美為衣代替憂傷的靈；稱他們為「公義樹」，是耶和華所栽植的，為要彰顯他的榮耀。

既然兒女同有血肉之軀，他也照樣親自成了血肉之軀，為能藉着死敗壞那掌管死權的，就是魔鬼，並要釋放那些一生因怕死而作奴隸的人。

但主的日子要像賊一樣來到；那日，天必在轟然一聲中消失，天體都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的萬物都要燒盡。

人不過像一口氣，他的年日如影消逝。

享受這世界的，不像在享受這世界；因為這世界的局面將要過去了。

我必救贖他們脫離陰間，救贖他們脫離死亡。死亡啊，你的災害在哪裏？陰間哪，你的毀滅在哪裏？憐憫必從我眼前消逝。

所以主說：「你們務要從他們中間出來，跟他們分別；不要沾不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。
