Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath, like a monster, swallowed me up, he hath filled his maw with my delicacies; he hath cast me out.

When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, Consider diligently him that is before thee;And put a knife to thy throat, If thou be a man given to appetite.Be not desirous of his dainties; Seeing they are deceitful food.

They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: They that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.

But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
