拿着七个盛满最后七灾害之碗的七位天使中，有一位过来对我讲话，说：“来，我要给你看看新娘，就是羔羊的妻子。”

那大城裂为三个部分，列国的城市也都倒塌了。神也想起大巴比伦，要把自己烈怒之酒的杯子递给她。

接着，我看见天上有另一个大而奇妙的征兆：有七位天使带着最后的七样灾害，因为神的愤怒就在这些灾害中完结了。

拿着七碗的七位天使中，有一位过来对我讲话，说：“来，我要给你看那坐在众水之上的大淫妇所要受的审判。地上的众君王曾与她行淫乱，住在地上的人也喝醉了她淫乱的酒。”于是我在灵里被天使带到旷野。随后，我看见一个女人骑在一只深红色的兽上，这兽有七个头，十只角，遍体布满了亵渎的名号。那女人身穿紫色和深红色的衣服，以金子、宝石和珍珠为装饰。她手里拿着金杯，杯中盛满了可憎之物和她淫乱的污秽。在她的额上写着一个奥秘的名号：“大巴比伦，地上的淫妇们和可憎之物的母亲。”随后，我看见那女人喝醉了圣徒们的血，以及为耶稣做见证之人的血。我看到她就大大惊奇。那位天使对我说：“你为什么惊奇呢？我要把这女人和驮着她的那七头十角兽的奥秘告诉你。你所看见的那兽，先前在而现今不在，并将要从无底坑里上来，然后走向灭亡。住在地上的人，凡是名字从创世以来没有被记在生命册上的，看见那先前在而现今不在，并将要出现的兽时，都会感到惊奇。“带有智慧的理性就在这里。那七个头就是女人所坐的七座山，也就是七个君王。五个已经倒了，一个还在，另一个还没有到来；他来的时候，必须存留片刻。那先前在而现今不在的兽，自己就是第八个，也是属于那七个，并且要走向灭亡。你所看见的那十只角，是十个王，他们还没有得到王权，然而他们要得到权柄，与那兽一同做王一段时间。他们目的一致，把自己的能力和权柄交给那兽。他们将要与羔羊交战，而羔羊将胜过他们，因为他是万主之主，万王之王；与羔羊在一起的，是那些蒙召唤的、蒙拣选的、忠心的人。”天使又对我说：“你所看见的众水，那淫妇所坐的地方，就是许多民族、人群、国家和语言群体。你所看见的那十只角和那兽，他们将恨恶那淫妇，并且将使她成为荒芜、赤身露体，又要吃她的肉，而且用火烧掉她。因为神把意念放在他们心中，要他们实现他的目的，要他们行事目的一致，并把十只角的王权交给那兽，直到神的话语成就。

忠信的城竟然变为妓女！这城从前充满公正，有公义居于其中，现在却只有杀人凶手。

说：“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，那曾身穿细麻、紫色、深红色衣服，以金子、宝石、珍珠为装饰的城啊！这么多的财富，竟然在一时之间就化为乌有了！”所有的船长、所有到处航行的人、水手们、所有靠海为业的人，都远远地站着。他们看着焚烧她时的烟，呼喊说：“哪一个城能与这大城相比呢？”他们把尘土撒在自己头上，哭泣、悲伤，呼喊说：“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，所有靠着她在海上有船只的人都因她的财富发了财。她竟然在一时之间就化为乌有了！

那带着七样灾害的七位天使，从圣所中出来了；他们身穿洁白明亮的细麻衣，胸间束着金带。四个活物中有一个把七个金碗交给了那七位天使，碗里盛满了活到永永远远之神的愤怒。

“至于你们这些巫婆的子孙，奸夫和妓女的种子，近前来到这里吧！

那位对我说话的天使，拿着一根金芦苇的量尺，要测量那城，就是她的城门和城墙。

他们彼此说：“在路上他对我们说话，为我们讲解经文的时候，我们心里不是在燃烧吗？”

这些事以后，我观看，看哪，天上有一个敞开的门。我先前所听见的，那如同号角对我说话的声音就说：“你上到这里来！我要把此后必须发生的事指示给你。”

这时候，忽然有两个人和耶稣谈话——他们是摩西和以利亚——
