第二个灾祸过去了。看哪，第三个灾祸快要来临了。

我要把猛禽从东方召来，把成就我筹算的人从遥远之地召来。我已经说出，就必定使之实现；我计划了，就必定实行。

因此，看哪，主必使幼发拉底河强盛的大水，就是亚述王和他所有的威势，上涨淹没他们，又上涨淹没一切水道，漫过所有的河岸；

天使又对我说：“你所看见的众水，那淫妇所坐的地方，就是许多民族、人群、国家和语言群体。

是谁从东方兴起了一人，凭公义把他召唤到脚前？是谁把列国交在他面前，让他制伏君王们？他用刀使他们如尘土，用弓使他们像被吹散的麦秸；他追赶他们，安然经过他未曾踏足的路。

接着，我看见另一位天使，拿着永生神的封印，从东方上来。他对那些被准许伤害大地和海洋的四位天使大声呼喊，
