且因其痛其瘍謗讟在天之上帝、而不悔其所行、○

以其瘍痛甚、謗讟天上上帝、不悔改所為、

且因生瘡痛苦、謗讟天上之主、不悔改所為、

不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。

人們被炙熱灼傷，就褻瀆掌管這些災禍的上帝的名，他們毫無悔意，不肯歸榮耀給上帝。

第一位天使離去，將碗倒在了地上，那些有怪獸的印記、敬拜獸像的人身上長出奇痛無比的毒瘡。

又有重達三十四公斤的巨型冰雹從天而降，打在世人身上。世人無法忍受這極大的災禍，就褻瀆上帝。

就在那一刻，發生了強烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生還者都在恐懼中將榮耀歸給天上的上帝。

我曾給她悔改的機會，她卻不肯悔改、離棄自己的淫亂行為，

「我亞達薛西王降旨給河西所有的財政大臣，精通天上上帝律法的律法教師以斯拉祭司無論向你們要什麼，都要速速辦理，

要同伴祈求天上的上帝施憐憫，顯明這奧秘，以免他們和其他巴比倫的智者一起被殺。這奧秘在夜間的異象中向但以理顯明，他便頌讚天上的上帝，

「波斯王塞魯士如此說，『天上的上帝耶和華已把天下萬國都賜給我，祂吩咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為祂建造殿宇。你們當中凡屬耶和華的子民，都可以去那裡。願你們的上帝耶和華與你們同在！』」

而惡人和騙子會變本加厲地迷惑人，也被人迷惑。

我一聽見這消息，就坐下痛哭，悲傷了好幾天。我在天上的上帝面前禁食禱告，說：

「王中之王亞達薛西降旨給精通天上上帝律法的教師以斯拉祭司，願你平安！

「他們回答說，『我們是天地之上帝的僕人，我們正在重建這座多年前由以色列的一位偉大君王建造的殿。但因為我們的祖先觸怒了天上的上帝，上帝把他們交在迦勒底人——巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手中，他摧毀了這殿，把他們擄到巴比倫。

不論天上的上帝為祂的殿有何要求，都要認真辦理，以免祂的烈怒臨到王及眾王子的國。

好讓他們向天上的上帝獻上蒙悅納的祭物，並為王和眾王子求壽。

你們要稱謝天上的上帝，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。

王問我：「你有什麼要求？」我向天上的上帝禱告後，

在以上列王統治的時候，天上的上帝必設立一國——永不滅亡、外族無法奪其政權。這國將擊垮、消滅列國，並且永遠長存。

約拿回答說：「我是希伯來人，我敬畏耶和華，祂是創造海洋陸地、掌管諸天的上帝。」
