凡擄人者亦見擄、以刃殺人者亦被刃殺、聖徒之恆忍與信在此矣、○

凡宜見虜者則見虜、以刃殺人者、則必見殺於刃、諸聖徒之忍與信在此矣、○

凡虜人者、亦將見虜於人、以刃殺人者、亦將見殺於人、聖徒之恆忍信主、於此可見、

引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。

“ If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

“ Everyone who is supposed to be captured will be captured. Everyone who is supposed to be killed by a sword will be killed by a sword.”( Jeremiah 15:2) So God’s people must be patient and faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.

如彼問爾曰、我儕可往何處、爾則告之曰、主如是云、當死者就死、當亡於刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當擄者就擄、

人未虐爾而爾虐人、人未欺爾而爾欺人、將必受禍、爾虐人方畢、則人必虐爾、爾欺人方畢、則人必欺爾、○

時將至、舉世有患難、以試天下之人、爾既守我忍耐之道、我必護庇爾、免於彼時之試煉、

兄弟乎、爾當恆忍、以待主降臨、試觀農夫、望得地之嘉產、忍耐以待、待得前後之雨、爾亦當恆忍、堅固爾心、蓋主之降臨伊邇、

耶穌謂之曰、收爾刃入鞘、蓋凡舉刃者必亡於刃、

當忍耐以救靈魂、以救靈魂或作以全生命○

守天主誡、及信耶穌道之聖徒、因此恆忍、或作聖徒之恆忍在此矣彼守天主之誡及耶穌之道

爾曹匆怠、當效彼因信及忍而得所許者、○

有害爾命流爾血者、或獸或人、我必討其罪、人與人為兄弟、人若害人命、我必討其罪、凡流人血者、人亦必流其血、緣天主造人、乃肖己像也、

我知爾之作為、爾之勤勞、爾之忍耐、亦知爾不容惡類、自稱為使徒、實非使徒者、爾已試之、知其虛偽、

爾須忍耐、使爾能行天主之旨、可得所許者、蓋復待片時、而將來者必來、決不遲延、

既至、必攻擊伊及國、當死者必死、當被擄者必被擄、當就刃者必就刃、

安靜以望主拯救、斯方為善、

耶穌又設喻、謂人當恆祈禱而不倦、曰、某邑有一士師、不畏天主、不禮世人、其邑有一嫠婦、入見之曰、有仇我者、請伸我冤、士師久不允、後自思曰、我雖不畏天主、不禮世人、但此嫠婦屢煩我、必伸其冤、免其恆至擾我、主曰、爾聽此不義之士師所言、天主之選民、晝夜籲禱天主、其應允或遲、豈不終伸其冤乎、我告爾、必速伸其冤矣、但人子臨時、豈見世有信德乎、○

我知爾之作為、爾之仁愛與服勞、爾之信德及忍耐、且知爾後之所為、多於爾前之所為、

我約翰為爾兄弟、與爾為耶穌基督同受患難、同在其國、同為彼而忍耐、為天主道及耶穌基督之證、在拔摩海島、在拔摩海島或作見放於拔摩海島

世人流聖徒及先知之血、今主以血予之飲、彼受此報、宜也、

兄弟乎、爾遇諸艱難之試、當以為樂、因知試爾信之艱難、能生忍耐、惟當使忍耐成功、致爾全備無缺、

爾所受所聞者、當記憶謹守、亦當悔改、如爾不警醒、我必忽臨爾如盜之至、爾不能知我何時臨爾、

此默示、屆期必應、末日必驗、決不虛誑、雖遲延亦當俟候、因必臨至、不致永久遲延、

蓋主離其所、欲討地上居民之罪、地必顯露流入其中之血、不復掩蓋其上見殺者之屍、

異邦人將以色列人導返故土、以色列族在主之地、得異邦人為奴為婢、昔擄之者、今反為其所擄、昔制之者、今反為其所制、

彼忍惡人如此之橫逆、爾當思之、免爾疲倦喪膽、爾之敵惡、尚未爭至於流血、

又循其榮之權能、使爾凡事有大力、能恆忍寛容而喜樂、

爾以何量量諸人、人亦以何量量諸爾、

若有別害、則當以命償命、以目償目、以齒償齒、以手償手、以足償足、以烙償烙、以傷償傷、以擊償擊、○
