又有一兆、顯見於天：有巨龍、赤色、七首十角、冠七冕、

天神乃攝吾之神魂、入一曠野、見有一婦坐赤獸上；赤獸七首十角、渾身皆僭妄穢褻之名。

二人作證既畢、將有猛獸出自無底深壑與之戰、勝而殺之、

爾所見之十角及獸、終必痛恨大娼、褫其衣而裸之、且吞食其肉、而付諸一焚。

天神語予曰：胡驚異為？吾欲告爾以此婦及其所乘七首十角之獸之秘密。爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。此中有妙義焉：七首者、即此婦所坐鎮之七山、亦即七王；就中五者已隕一尚存、一將至；及其至也、當有片時停留；而一現即逝之獸、其本身即為第八、出於第七、而歸於消滅。爾所見之十角亦十王也、至今未秉國鈞、後當與獸同享王權、亦只片晷。

彷彿見一琉璃之海、與火相混；又見諸凡未被獸及厥像厥名之數所克者、凱旋而歸、齊立琉璃海畔、抱天主靈瑟、

獸且賦有口才、大言不慚、荒謬絕倫；秉權作孽四十有二月。開口謗讟天主、褻瀆聖名與閟帷、侮慢天上諸神諸聖。

望爾等切莫受人之愚也。彼日之來、必先有反教背主之事、又有元惡大憝、淪亡之子、先行顯露、反抗基督、妄自尊大、目中不復有所謂天主或可敬者、彼且坐於天主聖殿、而自炫其為天主焉。
