天上又现出异象来：有一条大红龙，七头十角；七头上戴着七个冠冕。

我被圣灵感动，天使带我到旷野去，我就看见一个女人骑在朱红色的兽上；那兽有七头十角，遍体有亵渎的名号。

他们作完见证的时候，那从无底坑里上来的兽必与他们交战，并且得胜，把他们杀了。

那侍立者这样说：“第四兽就是世上必有的第四国，与一切国大不相同，必吞吃全地，并且践踏嚼碎。至于那十角，就是从这国中必兴起的十王，后来又兴起一王，与先前的不同；他必制伏三王。他必向至高者说夸大的话，必折磨至高者的圣民，必想改变节期和律法。圣民必交付他手一载、二载、半载。

“王必任意而行，自高自大，超过所有的神，又用奇异的话攻击万神之神。他必行事亨通，直到主的忿怒完毕，因为所定的事必然成就。

但以理说：我夜里见异象，看见天的四风陡起，刮在大海之上。有四个大兽从海中上来，形状各有不同：

其后我在夜间的异象中观看，见第四兽甚是可怕，极其强壮，大有力量，有大铁牙，吞吃嚼碎，所剩下的用脚践踏。这兽与前三兽大不相同，头有十角。我正观看这些角，见其中又长起一个小角；先前的角中有三角在这角前，连根被它拔出来。这角有眼，像人的眼，有口说夸大的话。

你所看见的那十角与兽必恨这淫妇，使她冷落赤身，又要吃她的肉，用火将她烧尽。

那时我愿知道第四兽的真情，它为何与那三兽的真情大不相同，甚是可怕，有铁牙铜爪，吞吃嚼碎，所剩下的用脚践踏；头有十角和那另长的一角，在这角前有三角被它打落。这角有眼，有说夸大话的口，形状强横，过于它的同类。

天使对我说：“你为什么希奇呢？我要将这女人和驮着她的那七头十角兽的奥秘告诉你。你所看见的兽，先前有，如今没有，将要从无底坑里上来，又要归于沉沦。凡住在地上、名字从创世以来没有记在生命册上的，见先前有、如今没有、以后再有的兽，就必希奇。智慧的心在此可以思想。那七头就是女人所坐的七座山，又是七位王；五位已经倾倒了，一位还在，一位还没有来到；他来的时候，必须暂时存留。那先前有如今没有的兽，就是第八位；他也和那七位同列，并且归于沉沦。你所看见的那十角就是十王；他们还没有得国，但他们一时之间要和兽同得权柄，与王一样。

我看见仿佛有玻璃海，其中有火搀杂。又看见那些胜了兽和兽的像并它名字数目的人，都站在玻璃海上，拿着神的琴，

耶和华说：你们怎么不惧怕我呢？我以永远的定例，用沙为海的界限，水不得越过。因此，你们在我面前还不战兢吗？波浪虽然翻腾，却不能逾越；虽然砰訇，却不能过去。

又赐给它说夸大亵渎话的口，又有权柄赐给它，可以任意而行四十二个月。兽就开口向神说亵渎的话，亵渎神的名并他的帐幕，以及那些住在天上的。

人不拘用什么法子，你们总不要被他诱惑；因为那日子以前，必有离道反教的事，并有那大罪人，就是沉沦之子，显露出来。他是抵挡主，高抬自己，超过一切称为神的和一切受人敬拜的，甚至坐在神的殿里，自称是神。

在她额上有名写着说：“奥秘哉！大巴比伦，作世上的淫妇和一切可憎之物的母。”
