The sun will no longer supply light for you by day, nor will the moon’s brightness shine on you; the LORD will be your permanent source of light– the splendor of your God will shine upon you.Your sun will no longer set; your moon will not disappear; the LORD will be your permanent source of light; your time of sorrow will be over.

“ And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth nations will be in distress, anxious over the roaring of the sea and the surging waves.

the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

For the LORD God is our sovereign protector. The LORD bestows favor and honor; he withholds no good thing from those who have integrity.

He covers himself with light as if it were a garment. He stretches out the skies like a tent curtain,

There will be great earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

For your husband is the one who made you– the LORD who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called“ God of the entire earth.”“ Indeed, the LORD will call you back like a wife who has been abandoned and suffers from depression, like a young wife when she has been rejected,” says your God.“ For a short time I abandoned you, but with great compassion I will gather you.

“ Who is this who appears like the dawn? Beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, awe-inspiring as the stars in procession?”

This mystery is great– but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall.

Then the temple of God in heaven was opened and the ark of his covenant was visible within his temple. And there were flashes of lightning, roaring, crashes of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

“ Zion said,‘ The LORD has abandoned me, the sovereign master has forgotten me.’Can a woman forget her baby who nurses at her breast? Can she withhold compassion from the child she has borne? Even if mothers were to forget, I could never forget you!Look, I have inscribed your name on my palms; your walls are constantly before me.Your children hurry back, while those who destroyed and devastated you depart.Look all around you! All of them gather to you. As surely as I live,” says the LORD,“ you will certainly wear all of them like jewelry; you will put them on as if you were a bride.Yes, your land lies in ruins; it is desolate and devastated. But now you will be too small to hold your residents, and those who devoured you will be far away.Yet the children born during your time of bereavement will say within your hearing,‘ This place is too cramped for us, make room for us so we can live here.’Then you will think to yourself,‘ Who bore these children for me? I was bereaved and barren, dismissed and divorced. Who raised these children? Look, I was left all alone; where did these children come from?’”This is what the sovereign LORD says:“ Look I will raise my hand to the nations; I will raise my signal flag to the peoples. They will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.Kings will be your children’s guardians; their princesses will nurse your children. With their faces to the ground they will bow down to you and they will lick the dirt on your feet. Then you will recognize that I am the LORD; those who wait patiently for me are not put to shame.

On that day the LORD their God will deliver them as the flock of his people, for they are the precious stones of a crown sparkling over his land.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb.

You will be a majestic crown in the hand of the LORD, a royal turban in the hand of your God.

“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the LORD shines on you; his splendor appears over you.Nations come to your light, kings to your bright light.Look all around you! They all gather and come to you– your sons come from far away and your daughters are escorted by guardians.

Then I saw another great and astounding sign in heaven: seven angels who have seven final plagues( they are final because in them God’s anger is completed).

Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon that had seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadem crowns.

Then some of the experts in the law along with some Pharisees answered him,“ Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; I will be overjoyed because of my God. For he clothes me in garments of deliverance; he puts on me a robe symbolizing vindication. I look like a bridegroom when he wears a turban as a priest would; I look like a bride when she puts on her jewelry.

And I will perform wonders in the sky above and miraculous signs on the earth below, blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self- controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for herto sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the word,so that he may present the church to himself as glorious– not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
