So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and no strength was left in me. Then he said to me,“ Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.

And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him.And Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified.But Jesus came and touched them, saying,“ Rise, and have no fear.”

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.And he said to them,“ Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When he had spoken to me according to these words, I turned my face toward the ground and was mute.

But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit.And he said to them,“ Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”

saying,“ Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said,“ Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?”

And Moses said to the people,“ Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.

And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men.

I hear, and my body trembles; my lips quiver at the sound; rottenness enters into my bones; my legs tremble beneath me. Yet I will quietly wait for the day of trouble to come upon people who invade us.
