“差遣了我的使者、为众教会向你们证明这些事的，就是我耶稣。我是大卫的根，又是他的后裔，我是明亮的晨星。”

天使对我说：“这些话是可信的、真实的！主，就是众先知之灵的神，差遣了他的天使，把那快要发生的事，指示他的仆人。”

因为这福音我不是从人领受的，也不是人教导我的，而是藉着耶稣基督的启示来的。

只有一位在天上的神能把一切隐秘的事显明；他已经把日后将要发生的事告诉你尼布甲尼撒王了。你的梦和你躺在床上时脑海中出现的异象就是这样：王啊！你躺在床上时，想到日后将要发生的事，那显明隐秘事的神就把将要发生的事向你说明了。

所以，你要把所看见的，现在的，和今后将要发生的事都写下来。

藉着启示使我可以知道这奥秘，就像我以前在信中略略提过的。

他把所见所闻的见证出来，可是没有人接受他的见证。

我约翰，就是你们的弟兄，在耶稣里跟你们一同分享患难、国度和忍耐的，为了神的道和耶稣的见证，曾经在那名叫拔摩的海岛上。

关于你们，我有许多事要说，要判断；但那差我来的是真实的，我从他那里听见的，就告诉世人。”

因为我没有凭着自己说话，而是差我来的父给了我命令，要我说什么，讲什么。

这些事以后，我观看，见天上有一道门开着；并且有我第一次听见的那个好像号筒的声音，对我说：“你上这里来！我要把以后必定发生的事指示你。”

我不再称你们为仆人，因为仆人不知道主人所作的事；我已经称你们为朋友了，因为我从我父那里听见的一切，都已经告诉你们了。

神能依照我所传的福音和耶稣基督所传的信息，照着他奥秘的启示，坚定你们。这奥秘自古以来秘而不宣，

耶和华把心意向敬畏他的人显示，又使他们认识他的约。

如果主耶和华不先把计划向他的仆人众先知显示，他就不会作任何事。

因为你赐给我的话，我已经给了他们，他们也领受了，又确实知道我是从你那里来的，并且信你差了我来。

我又听见从乌莱河两岸之间，有人的声音呼叫着说：“加百列啊！你要使这人明白这异象。”

我还在祷告说话的时候，我先前在异象中所见的那位样貌像人的加百列，约在献晚祭的时候，快速地飞（“快速地飞”原文意思难确定，或译：“在精疲力竭时”）到我面前来。

你开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出。因为你是大蒙眷爱的，所以我来告诉你；你要留意这信息，明白这异象。

我又看见圣城，新耶路撒冷，从天上由神那里降下来，预备好了，好像打扮整齐等候丈夫的新娘。

读这书上预言的人，和那些听见这预言并且遵守书中记载的人，都是有福的！因为时候近了。约翰写信给在亚西亚的七个教会。愿恩惠平安，从那位今在、昔在、以后要来的神，从他宝座前的七灵，
