愚蠢之民、爾其思之、蒙昧之輩、何時為智乎、

愚蠢之人、懵然無知、何日明此理兮、

民間無知者、爾曹當悟、愚蠢之輩、爾曹何時方明、

麻木焉得仁。冥頑何時靈。

Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?

You who aren’t wise, pay attention. You foolish people, when will you become wise?

Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise?

Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on?

Pay attention, you stupid people! Fools, when will you be wise?

Pay attention, you stupid ones among the people; And when will you understand, foolish ones?

Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise?

Pay attention, you stupid people! Fools, when will you be wise?

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and[ ye] fools, when will ye be wise?

Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?

Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

For he shall see it. Wise men die; The fool and the brutish alike perish, And leave their wealth to others.

There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God;

For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

But they are together brutish and foolish: the instruction of idols! it is but a stock.

Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

So brutish was I, and ignorant; I was as a beast before thee.

O ye simple, understand prudence; And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.

Whoso loveth correction loveth knowledge; But he that hateth reproof is brutish.

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.

I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repenteth him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turneth to his course, as a horse that rusheth headlong in the battle.Yea, the stork in the heavens knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle- dove and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the law of Jehovah.How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes hath wrought falsely.
