说吧，以色列：“若不是耶和华帮助我们，若不是耶和华帮助我们，当人起来攻击我们，

耶和华啊，求你叫我不致羞愧，因为我曾呼求你；求你使恶人羞愧，使他们在阴间缄默无声。

耶和华—我的上帝啊，求你看顾我，应允我！求你使我眼目明亮，免得我沉睡至死；

你用力推我，要叫我跌倒，但耶和华帮助了我。

死人不能赞美耶和华，下到寂静中的也都不能。

求你留意向我右边观看，无人认识我；我无避难之处，也无人眷顾我。耶和华啊，我曾向你哀求。我说：“你是我的避难所，在活人之地，你是我的福分。”

倚靠耶和华的人好像锡安山，安稳坐镇，永不动摇。

我初次上诉时，没有人前来帮助，竟都离弃了我，但愿这罪不归在他们身上。惟有主站在我身边，加给我力量，使我能把福音完整地传开，让所有的外邦人都听见；我也从狮子口里被救出来。

看哪，时候将到，其实已经到了，你们要分散，各归自己的地方，留下我独自一人；然而我不是独自一人，因为有父与我同在。

弟兄们，我们不要你们不知道，我们从前在亚细亚遭遇苦难，因受到无法忍受的压力，甚至连活命的指望都没有了。自己心里也断定是必死无疑，这是要使我们不依靠自己，只依靠使死人复活的上帝。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，他要继续救我们，而且我们指望他将来还要救我们。
