亦不懼黑暗之瘟災、日午害人之毒病、

午夜魑魅不爾擾。中晝群魔不爾殄。

You won’t have to be afraid of the sickness that attacks in the darkness. You won’t have to fear the plague that destroys at noon.

He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague stopped.

The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.

And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.

All of them ate the same spiritual food,and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ.Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did,or worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say,“ The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry.”And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day.Nor should we put Christ to the test, as some of them did and then died from snakebites.And don’t grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

And that night at midnight, the Lord struck down all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn son of the prisoner in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed.Pharaoh and all his officials and all the people of Egypt woke up during the night, and loud wailing was heard throughout the land of Egypt. There was not a single house where someone had not died.

So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel that morning, and it lasted for three days. A total of 70,000 people died throughout the nation, from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south.
