But You have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with Your anointed.

乃今主屏棄厭惡所立之受膏者、向其大震烈怒、

明證懸中天。有如月之恆。』

But you have rejected, you have spurned, you have been very angry with your anointed one.

But you have turned your back on your anointed king. You have been very angry with him.

But now you have cast off and rejected; you are full of wrath against your anointed.

But now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.

But you have spurned and rejected him; you have become enraged with your anointed.

But You have rejected and refused, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

But You have spurned and rejected him; You have become enraged with Your anointed.

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

But you have spurned and rejected him; you are angry with your chosen king.

But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.

“ And when the Lord saw it, He spurned them, Because of the provocation of His sons and His daughters.

“ As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

With which Your enemies have reproached, O Lord, With which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.

“ O mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew nor rain upon you, Nor fields of offerings. For the shield of the mighty is cast away there! The shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.

O God, behold our shield, And look upon the face of Your anointed.

“ Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.

My God will cast them away, Because they did not obey Him; And they shall be wanderers among the nations.

When God heard this, He was furious, And greatly abhorred Israel,

I dismissed the three shepherds in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance.

But You have cast us off and put us to shame, And You do not go out with our armies.You make us turn back from the enemy, And those who hate us have taken spoil for themselves.You have given us up like sheep intended for food, And have scattered us among the nations.You sell Your people for next to nothing, And are not enriched by selling them.You make us a reproach to our neighbors, A scorn and a derision to those all around us.You make us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.My dishonor is continually before me, And the shame of my face has covered me,Because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles, Because of the enemy and the avenger.All this has come upon us; But we have not forgotten You, Nor have we dealt falsely with Your covenant.Our heart has not turned back, Nor have our steps departed from Your way;But You have severely broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.If we had forgotten the name of our God, Or stretched out our hands to a foreign god,Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.Yet for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever.Why do You hide Your face, And forget our affliction and our oppression?For our soul is bowed down to the dust; Our body clings to the ground.Arise for our help, And redeem us for Your mercies’ sake.

The Lord has spurned His altar, He has abandoned His sanctuary; He has given up the walls of her palaces Into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the house of the Lord As on the day of a set feast.

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?

Now it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom and had strengthened himself, that he forsook the law of the Lord, and all Israel along with him.And it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the Lord,with twelve hundred chariots, sixty thousand horsemen, and people without number who came with him out of Egypt— the Lubim and the Sukkiim and the Ethiopians.And he took the fortified cities of Judah and came to Jerusalem.Then Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah, who were gathered together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ You have forsaken Me, and therefore I also have left you in the hand of Shishak.’”So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said,“ The Lord is righteous.”Now when the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.Nevertheless they will be his servants, that they may distinguish My service from the service of the kingdoms of the nations.”So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house; he took everything. He also carried away the gold shields which Solomon had made.Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who guarded the doorway of the king’s house.And whenever the king entered the house of the Lord, the guard would go and bring them out; then they would take them back into the guardroom.When he humbled himself, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, so as not to destroy him completely; and things also went well in Judah.

Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?

O God, You have cast us off; You have broken us down; You have been displeased; Oh, restore us again!

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the Lord, Was caught in their pits, Of whom we said,“ Under his shadow We shall live among the nations.”

But if He says thus:‘ I have no delight in you,’ here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?
