The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; you have been healed by His wounds.

But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.He will repay each one according to his works:eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality;but wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth but are obeying unrighteousness;affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

For we are consumed by Your anger; we are terrified by Your wrath.

If I am proud, You hunt me like a lion and again display Your miraculous power against me.

Surely the arrows of the Almighty have pierced me; my spirit drinks their poison. God’s terrors are arrayed against me.

Lord, do not punish me in Your anger or discipline me in Your wrath.
