I am overwhelmed with troubles and my life draws near to death.

I have so many troubles I’m about to die.

For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to Sheol.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly amazed, and sore troubled.And he saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death: abide ye here, and watch.

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and sore troubled.Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil- doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild- oxen thou hast answered me.

They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; My soul refused to be comforted.

Oh that my vexation were but weighed, And all my calamity laid in the balances!For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas: Therefore have my words been rash.For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, The poison whereof my spirit drinketh up: The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul? Why hidest thou thy face from me?I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the pit, And his life to the destroyers.

He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath sated me with wormwood.He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he hath covered me with ashes.And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace; I forgat prosperity.And I said, My strength is perished, and mine expectation from Jehovah.Remember mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
