For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

嗣後、主於默示中諭亞伯蘭曰、毋懼、我必護爾如盾、爾必得大賚、

行正直者、可得拯救、從邪曲道者、必顛蹶於路、必顛蹶於路或作必陷於坑阱

即是行為正直作事公義、本誠心以發直言者、

主仍護衛我如盾、使我有榮耀、使我能昂首、

主為我之光明、乃我之救主、我尚懼誰耶、主為我生命之保障、我尚畏誰耶、

我深信於爾中始作善工者、必完此善工、直至耶穌基督之日、

主乃覆庇我、保衛我、我惟盼望主之應許、

此神與我心、或作此神與我神同證我儕為天主之子、既為子則為嗣、即天主之嗣、與基督同為嗣、我儕若與之同苦、亦必與之同榮、○我思今時之苦、若較將顯於我中之榮、不足為意也、

由其充滿、而我儕皆受恩寵、恩寵復加恩寵、

今我所受暫而且微之苦、為我備至大無比之永榮、

我眾面不蒙帕、如由鏡得觀主榮、亦必化為此像、由榮而愈榮、即由主之神而化也、

是為真光、普照凡生於世之人者也、或作是為真光臨世普照萬人者也

我見其行不正、不遵福音之真、乃於眾前謂磯法曰、爾猶太人也、既行如異邦人、非如猶太人、何又強異邦人、行如猶太人乎、

富而行邪曲道、不如貧而正直、

求護我如盾之天主垂視、顧所立受膏王之面、

以色列人、當倚賴主、惟主能庇祐護衛、亞倫之家當倚賴主、惟主能庇祐護衛、敬畏主者、當倚賴主、惟主能庇祐護衛、

雅各族歟、豈可言主易於震怒乎、或作爾稱為雅各族者歟主豈不含忍乎斯事豈主所常行乎、主曾言、我言必於行正直者有益、

列邦君侯聚集、皆成為亞伯拉罕天主之子民、因護庇全地者乃天主、惟天主尊為至上、
