因此，我在聖所中瞻仰你，為要見你的能力和榮耀。

但我們是天上的公民，切望救主，就是主耶穌基督，從天上降臨；

耶和華啊！求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那些只在今生有分的世人。求你用你為他們儲存的充滿他們的肚腹，使他們的兒女都可以飽嘗，他們還有剩餘的留給他們的子孫。至於我，我必在義中得見你的面；我醒來的時候，得見你的形象就心滿意足。

求你不要容我的心偏向惡事，免得我和作孽的人一同行惡，也不要使我吃他們的美食。願義人擊打我，這是出於慈愛；願他責備我，這是膏我頭的膏油，我的頭不會拒絕。我仍要為惡人的惡行禱告。

萬軍之耶和華啊！你的居所多麼可愛。我的靈渴想切慕耶和華的院子，我的心身向永活的神歡呼。

求你發出你的亮光和真理，好引導我，帶我到你的聖山，到你的居所。我就走到神的祭壇前，到神、我極大的喜樂那裡。神啊！我的神啊！我要彈琴稱讚你。

隨從肉體的人，以肉體的事為念；隨從聖靈的人，以聖靈的事為念。以肉體為念就是死，以聖靈為念就是生命、平安；

你們就看重那穿華麗衣服的人，說：“請坐在這好位上。”又對那個窮人說：“你站在那裡。”或說：“坐在我的腳凳下邊。”

過了三天，才發現他在聖殿裡，坐在教師中間，一面聽，一面問。
