爾何毀其垣、任路人摘之、

今曷毀其藩籬、任為路人折取兮、

主因何拆毀護樹之藩籬、任行路之人折取、

扶疎臨海角。蔓衍到幼法。

For the Lord is restoring the majesty of Jacob as the majesty of Israel, for plunderers have plundered them and ruined their branches.

He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said,“ Surely not!”

For before the harvest, when the blossom is over, and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he cuts off the shoots with pruning hooks, and the spreading branches he lops off and clears away.They shall all of them be left to the birds of prey of the mountains and to the beasts of the earth. And the birds of prey will summer on them, and all the beasts of the earth will winter on them.
