夤夜謳歌、今也中心存想、以神察理、何不如昔兮、

夜間追念所頌之詩歌、心中思維、意內參究、

默默思古昔。依依舊日恩。舊日恩何盛。歡歌徹深更。

I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:

I remembered how I used to sing praise to you in the night. I thought about it, and here is what I asked myself.

I said,“ Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search:

when my nights were filled with joyful songs. I search my soul and ponder the difference now.

At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.

I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:

I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search.

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart; And my spirit maketh diligent search.

I said,“ During the night I will remember the song I once sang; I will think very carefully.” I tried to make sense of what was happening.

Stand in awe, and don’t sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: a prayer to the God of my life.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.

I will tell God,‘ Do not condemn me. Show me why you contend with me.

But no one says,‘ Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night,

“ Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me.”

For though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls:yet I will rejoice in Yahweh. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

I said to myself,“ Behold, I have obtained for myself great wisdom above all who were before me in Jerusalem. Yes, my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.”

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
