I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked:

I remembered how I used to sing praise to you in the night. I thought about it, and here is what I asked myself.

I said,“ Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search:

when my nights were filled with joyful songs. I search my soul and ponder the difference now.

At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.

I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:

At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.

I said,“ During the night I will remember the song I once sang; I will think very carefully.” I tried to make sense of what was happening.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:

Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

[ Yet] the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song[ shall be] with me,[ and] my prayer unto the God of my life.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:And see if[ there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

But none saith, Where[ is] God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither[ shall] fruit[ be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and[ there shall be] no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all[ they] that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of[ that] bread, and drink of[ that] cup.For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.For this cause many[ are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
