Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

When I remember thee upon my bed,[ and] meditate on thee in the[ night] watches.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I[ am] weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

[ There is] no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither[ is there any] rest in my bones because of my sin.For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds stink[ and] are corrupt because of my foolishness.I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are filled with a loathsome[ disease]: and[ there is] no soundness in my flesh.I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day[ and] night before thee:Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest[ between] the cherubims, thou art the God,[ even] thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,And have cast their gods into the fire: for they[ were] no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou[ art] the LORD God,[ even] thou only.Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel,[ That] which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.
