But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.

惟有神断定；他使这人降卑，使那人升高。

It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.

God is the one who judges. He says to one person,“ You are guilty.” To another he says,“ You are not guilty.”

but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.

It is God alone who judges; he decides who will rise and who will fall.

for God is the Judge: He brings down one and exalts another.

But God is the Judge; He puts down one and exalts another.

The heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah.

He has put down princes from their thrones. And has exalted the lowly.

He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.

Yahweh upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.

Samuel said to him,“ Yahweh has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours who is better than you.

David said to Michal,“ It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.

Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying,“ In times past, you sought for David to be king over you.Now then do it; for Yahweh has spoken of David, saying,‘ By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.’”

Give them a command to their masters, saying,‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,“ You shall tell your masters:‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.“‘“‘ It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says Yahweh,‘ with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided a king for myself among his sons.”

He raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap,that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and in. Yahweh said to you,‘ You will be shepherd of my people Israel, and you will be prince over Israel.’”

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because you have rejected Yahweh’s word, he has also rejected you from being king.”

But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through his grace

so that men shall say,“ Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”

“ You, king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty.

You, O king, are king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength, and the glory.

For if the rejection of them is the reconciling of the world, what would their acceptance be, but life from the dead?
